The Taj Mahal is the oldest Indian restaurant in Putney. After more than half a century with a classic Riverboat down the Ganges interior decor, we have recently undergone a major refurbishment to bring the Taj Mahal into the 21st century. Although we have won numerous awards over the years, and always will be, our greatest satisfaction has, a satisfied customer. We also remain true to time-honoured Indian culinary techniques and at the heart of our kitchen is our traditional clay based tandoori oven. We attribute our longevity to serving delicious unpretentious food using only the freshest ingredients. Our restaurant has always been family owned and we are immensely proud of our history.
